Burn Ban

The City is currently under a “Burn Ban” Starting May 1, 2024 until October 1, 2024

 

Please refrain from all outdoor leaf or debris burning during this time. This includes the use of burn barrels.

 

The City will pick up these items on a regular route weekly, if the following rules are followed:

  • All leaves and grass clippings must be clear or paper bags. Only clear plastic bags are allowed.
  • Limbs must be no larger than 4’ in diameter and no longer than 4’ will be picked up.
  • All piles must not be larger than 3’ wide x 9’ long x 3’ high.

Allowable outside burning consists of fire pits or fires used for food consumption only.

“We have had numerous calls recently, where residents are burning leaf and limb debris. 

We are asking all residents to properly dispose of this or wait until October 1st to burn”, Chief Williams stated.
